Poggio Murella

Poggio Murella is made up of a small nucleus of houses, just 2.5 km from the Spa by recently resurfaced road (which is fairly steep at certain points).

It is also possible to get there by the road that connects Saturnia to Catabbio. In this case, you should turn right when exiting the tiny village of Poggio Capanne, which you will reach before Poggio Murella when using this road.

The village is the ideal place for a tranquil, relaxing holiday, just a short distance from the Spa, in a lovely countryside setting. It offers a range of different accommodation and restaurants, although a smaller selection than in Saturnia itself.

The landscape varies depending on where you stay in the village, given that not all the land is flat. It is well worth visiting the Castellum Acquarum.

Poggio Capanne, in the vicinity of Poggio Murella (2 km) and the Spa (6 km), is a tiny village. It is divided into two parts, separated by the road leading to Catabbio and Semproniano: on one side of the road is the ancient old town, and on the other more recent constructions.

Poggio Capanne’s location offers easy access to both the Spa and Semproniano. It is the ideal place for a holiday in an area that, while within easy reach of Saturnia, is fairly isolated (the majority of incoming holiday traffic drives through Manciano); Poggio Capanne also offers bars, a trattoria and a family run hotel, in addition to a modern beauty centre, which also has a branch inside the Spa.
